Stellantis faces dealership anger after letting inventory pile up
The Stellantis National Dealer Council (NDC) has addressed its titular car company with an open letter, blaming CEO Carlos Tavares of “reckless short-term decision-making”.
The dealers claim that poor leadership has led the entire corporation to the brink of a catastrophe in the USA. They call upon the company to free the overflowing warehouses and parking lots of the unsold car stock. When the assembly lines run at full capacity once again, they better produce vehicles that customers in the USA actually want and can afford.
In turn, Stellantis press service released a rather harsh-sounding response, arguing that “public personal attacks” aren’t the best way of addressing issues. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.
